Being raised in the small mountain town of Crested Butte, CO. the easy access to the outdoors shaped my path quickly. My passions are rooted in the natural landscape through activities like mountain biking and skiing. My art is an interpretation of my surroundings and enables me to connect to the land in a slow crafted way. Many of the ways I live involve gravity fed sports and plenty of giggles - never a bad thing. But, having a creative outlet based on slowing down and taking in all the details is important. Balance baby! 

I enjoy creating functional pieces. I’m not sure about you, but the walls of my home are filled to the brim. So, I decided to use alternative canvases for my art, things we use in everyday life. Growing up immersed in the ski culture, Kinco gloves and mitts were the go to. In college I began drawing on a few pairs and started accepting commission work. It’s hard to believe I’ve been making custom mitts for 7 years now! Up-cycling clothing has become another outlet and way to share my art. Using two completely different mediums and styles keeps me engaged with my work.

“Mentality to Reality” is a saying I repeat often to remain present in my daily life. A philosophy centered around changing your mindset to fit the outcome you want. It is a powerful way to redirect thoughts in a positive light. When I started saying this to myself out loud I began to see a change in the way I mentally framed difficult and scary things.
